February Roundtable Agenda

**Please note the change in agenda from my earlier email announcement. We have rescheduled the tough scout challenge and Mt. Washington experience presentation to the March roundtable.**

      • This training/introduction will be detailed and take about 45 minutes, so we will do the Tough Scout Challenge and Mt. Washington experience next month in the boy scout breakout session (March).

The program feature for February roundtable is Citizenship. In order to have time for the scoutbook.com training, we will forgo the program feature topic this month, but you may download a pdf of it here. Thank you to Chuck for conducting the February roundtable!

 

October Roundtable Agenda

The October Boy Scout Roundtable meeting is coming up on Tuesday October 13th, 7:30-8:30pm at the East Granby Congregational Church. The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

  • 7:30pm Combined opening (Cub and Boy Scout leaders)
  • 7:35pm Separate to Boy Scout session
  • 7:40pm Gather and brief opening – Chuck Hoadley
  • 7:45pm Boy Scout interest topic – Leadership Within the Community
    • led by Rob Hazzard (15 minutes)
  • 8:00pm Program feature – Financial Management
    • led by Ken Coman (15 minutes)
  • 8:15pm Introduction to Advancement Changes for 2016
    • led by Jackie McColgan (15 minutes)
  • 8:29pm Commissioner’s minute and closing – Chuck Hoadley
  • 8:30pm Crackerbarrel/Fellowship

The program feature for the month is Financial Management. However, this feature is found in Volume III, which is not yet released!! We will draft a program feature together during part of our meeting. So, please look at the template attached below for Troop program and main event planning, and come with ideas for how you might be able to incorporate ideas or elements of Financial Management into a troop monthly program and main event. Ideas could include supporting advancement requirements, and merit badges like Family Life or Personal management. What kinds of outings can you think of? Places to visit? Could you tie this into fundraising activities?
